Dr. Robert Cohen is an American and Israeli board certified allergist.
Dr. Cohen attended Tulane University and graduated from the University of Alabama with an BS degree. He then attained his MD degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine.
He did his pediatric internship and residency at the University of Alabama. He then practiced general pediatrics for four years before completing an allergy and clinical immunology fellowship at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.
Dr. Cohen was a practicing allergist in Atlanta, Georgia from 1985-2009. He was twice recognized by Best Doctors in America: Southeast Region. In addition to his private practice, he was the founder and medical director of DataQuest Clinical Research Center. He also served as the senior allergist at the Georgia Pulmonary Group, the largest pulmonary practice in the southeast.
Dr. Cohen and his wife made aliyah in 2009. He practices his specialty of clinical allergy and is affilaiated with kupot cholim Meuhedet and Leumit. In addition, Dr. Cohen sees private patients.
Dr. Cohen is one of the few allergists in Israel offering oral immunotherapy for hay fever and other forms of inhalant induced rhinitis. Called Sub-lingual Immunotherapy (SLIT), this process eliminates the need for allergy shots and can be safely administered at home without the need for multiple office visits.
