Tuvia Gilbert, O.D. is an American-trained optometrist, received his doctorate of optometry from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. As a native of Dayton, Ohio, he previously worked in group private practices at Nova Vision Care and Dayton Optometric Center. During these pre-aliyah formative years, Dr. Gilbert had the privilege of mentoring under Dr. Brenda Montecalvo, a world-leading clinical optometrist and lecturer in the areas of neuro-optometric rehabilitation, optometric vision therapy, and therapeutic lens prescribing. Dr. Gilbert has a special interest in developmental optometry and vision therapy, incorporating his approach into comprehensive vision care. With a deep understanding of the neuroplasticity of the human brain, he improves and optimizes the visual system much past simply achieving clear 6/6 eyesight. When not seeing patients, Dr. Gilbert stays busy with his wife and five children, making time for trumpeting and music gigs on the side.
